WELCOME TO BASELINE: FINAL WEEK
ATHLETE LEVELS:
You’ve been working really hard in these recent weeks to accumulate your Athlete Levels. The reason these numbers are so important is that you’ll be able to use them to keep progressing toward your goals, through the percentage-based training we do in class!
For example, if we’re doing back squats, there will likely be a series of percentage-based repetitions on the board (e.g. 5 reps at 70%). Before, you would’ve been taking a wild guess as to what you should be putting on the barbell. With your Athlete Levels, you can take your 1RM (one-rep maximum) and use that number to calculate your specific percentages.
We encourage you to record your maxes in the PushPress Train app. Simply click the little “person” icon in the lower-right corner, then click “View All” in the middle of the screen. Weight movements will be listed under “Weightlifting,” skills are generally under “Gymnastics.” Need help? Simply ask a coach when you’re at the gym!
24/7 ACCESS AND OPEN GYM
At Together We Rise, we always encourage you to attend classes as your first option. Being surrounded by coaches and community are statistically what will give you the best results. However, we also understand that occasionally, you might need to catch a quick workout during an off-class time.
Once you’ve been a member for at least two months, you’re invited to request the code for 24/7 access. In order to do this, you’ll need to meet with Steve to fill out the 24/7 access waiver and walk through the specific directions.
One other option is TWR Open Gym. Times are listed in the app and designed for members who want to do accessory work while other members are also in the gym. Have questions about either option? Just ask!
