Grip and core strength

Bat speed and bat control are two huge components of a successful hitter. Adding Dumbbell Farmer’s Carry will increase an athlete’s grip strength to improve their swing path. The more strength you have in flexion and extension of the wrist the more consistent your path to contact will be.

Weighted Core work such as Dumbbell sit-ups and Seated Good mornings can significantly strengthen the core to increase bat speed at contact.

multiple plains of movement

Training multiple planes of movement improves speed around the base paths, as well as explosiveness to the ball to shut down the opposing offense. Adding lateral lunges along with rotation in all of your directional lunges is a simple addition that can make a big difference.
